About
I'm Audrey, a product designer and tech educator based in Naarm (Melbourne). I design thoughtful interfaces for complex systems and teach people how to use and build technology with intention.
This site is named after my childhood imaginary friend 'Plum Plum' — a mischievous character who I now use as shorthand for AI. I'm currently designing 'Plum Plum Land', an immersive framework for making sense of AI tools and their place in Australian communities.
Background
I have an honours degree in fashion design and a masters in IT. This combo helps me design with attention to sensory qualities and cultural resonance, as well as technical rigour. I've worked in the software industry designing complex enterprise systems and custom solutions for diverse clients.
Approach
Inclusive
I design for real people, not ideal ones. My lived experience with trauma and neurodivergence shapes how I build — always asking who gets left out and why. I practice co-design and love facilitating workshops that bring diverse voices into the process.
Elegant
I practice atomic and modular design. Beautiful systems that scale gracefully. Sharp instincts for form and function. Recovering perfectionist.
Educational
Good design teaches as it works. I create interfaces that build confidence and tools that demystify technology — because understanding shouldn't be gatekept.
